Planning your wedding has been stressful enough that after the wedding ceremony, you just can't wait and enjoy your honeymoon with your life partner. |
All the details for the wedding have been
ironed out and you only need to show up to say your “I dos”. After the ceremony
and the post-wedding party, you will be whisked off to a romantic place where
you can spend your honeymoon. But where exactly is it?
If you have yet to set a place which you
can consider to be a truly romantic getaway for you two, why not book tickets
to the exotic island of Mauritius.
Located south east coast of the African continent, the flight takes you about one hour
and 15 minutes and you’re ready to set your foot in this fanciful island.
For couples who are uttering their vows
during the month of December, the island will give you great weather all
month-long. Although the cooler months here are from June to August, there’s
still enough sunshine for you to enjoy the beautiful beaches and the
water-related activities. Should you get tired of the water, you can always go
shopping, sample what the local cuisine has to offer, or go hiking for a truly
unique honeymooner’s adventure.
Discover
Mauritius Island, the Sweetest Way
Whether you got the trip to Mauritius as a
wedding gift or if you planned your honeymoon here as a newlywed couple, there
should be a list of to-do things to add excitement as you look forward to your
everyday being together in the Island. More than spending time in bed,
honeymoons should give newlywed couples a memorable experience which you can
fondly look back on in the future. This means that the more adventurous your
honeymoon trip is, the more likely you’d want to plan another one in your next
wedding anniversaries.
To get you started, here is a list of the
romantic things that you can do in Mauritius with your significant other:
Enjoy each other's company while having a good time with several sport activities available in the island. |
Indulge in as many water sports
activities as you can.
During your honeymoon, cram as many
water-related activities as you can for a memorable bonding worth reminiscing.
Aside from swimming, you can also go scuba diving, snorkelling, cruising, deep-sea
fishing or dolphin watching. Other interesting activities here include water
scooter rides, speedboat rides, water skiing and riding an underwater
submarine.
Go for souvenir shopping.
Arm-in-arm with your significant other,
stroll Curepipe for duty free shops and boutiques or through the stores where
there are troves of handmade collectibles for you to bring home not just a
souvenir but a reminder on how awesome your trip was in this island.
Spa time together leaving you both revitalized and feeling renewed after those month-long preparation for your wedding. |
Get pampered together.
When you get tired of shopping or if the
skin in your hands gets crinkly from being in the water for so long, book for a
couple’s massage session at a spa centre. Several resorts in Mauritius have
excellent spa services where you can take your pick from African, European or
Chinese massages. Not only that, feel squeaky clean as your bodies get a
thorough scrubbing and exfoliating using local sugar and fragrant oils from
blooms. Afterwards, treat yourselves for a good food with Mauritius cuisine
which is a combination of Creole, Chinese, European and Indian influences.

Add more color to both of your
worlds
Visit Chamarel Village, located
southwest of Mauritius, and discover its spectacular attractions. Not just the
100-meter high waterfalls which serve as a nice background for you and your
partner for that souvenir shot, but also the color-filled small sand dunes. It is known as the Seven
Colored Earths primarily because of the sand’s seven colors: yellow, green,
blue, purple, violet, brown and red. Up to this date, science cannot even
explain this amazing wonder and this can only be found in this small village.
And so even if the honeymoon is over, witnessing this phenomenon is an added
mutual experience for both of you as together you can talk about it with the
same feeling as you have seen it in the island.
The lush greenery, the deep blue sea and
the glory of this island are the reasons why couples prefer Mauritius for a
romantic hideaway. No matter how short or long your honeymoon spree in the
Island of Mauritius, you cannot exhaust the number of exciting activities to
indulge in. Indeed, it will truly be a honeymoon to remember!
If planning your wedding has taken all your time and strength, never worry about your honeymoon as you can always call for help of an online travel agency. Booking of flights, hotels and activities can all be done by your online travel agency leaving you stress-free.
OMG. I love your pictures! I'm mad about Mauritious... Hope to be there!
